Maria Vittoria Romano

Maria Vittoria Romano has extensive experience in human resources and governance across various leading organizations. Currently serving as a member of the committee at Voie F and as a trustee at the Grand Théâtre de Genève, Maria is also the HR Manager at Université de Genève since 2013, where responsibilities include advising management, managing personnel issues for approximately 1,700 staff, and developing HR policies and practices. Previous roles include serving as a municipal councilor for the City of Geneva, and holding significant positions at the International Committee of the Red Cross, where Maria coordinated protection activities and consulted on HR matters. Educational qualifications include certificates in mediation and leadership, along with a background in labor politics and international studies.
