Eric Kunnen

Eric Kunnen serves as the Senior Director of IT Innovation and Research at Grand Valley State University since August 2013, leading digital transformation initiatives across the institution's Information Technology sector. With previous roles including Associate Director of eLearning and Emerging Technologies, Part-Time Faculty, and Emerging Technologies Coordinator at GVSU, Eric has extensive experience in enhancing distance learning and support for faculty. Prior to GVSU, Eric held the position of Director of Distance Learning and Instructional Technologies at Grand Rapids Community College, as well as several educational roles in instructional design and technology. Eric holds a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Educational Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Computer Science from Grand Valley State University.
