James Scarlett

James Scarlett is an experienced business professional with a focus on business development and engineering. As the owner of Scarlett Inc. since November 2005, James has played a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth. In addition to this role, James serves as an Advisory Board Member at Grand Ventures Fund and Chairman of the Board for the Woodworking Machinery Industry Association. Furthermore, James has been a Board Member of SME since April 2011. Previously, James worked as an Industrial Engineer at Gentex Corporation from October 2001 to November 2005 and gained early experience as a Quality Control Intern at Steelcase in the summer of 1998. James holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Marketing from Michigan Technological University, which was earned between 1996 and 2001.
