Roman Harris RN, CEN, CCRN-K has a diverse work history with experience in various healthcare roles. Roman began their career in 2009 as a Patient Care Tech at UAB Hospital, where they provided care for up to 20 patients in an ICU environment. In 2012, they joined Children's of Alabama as an Emergency Department RN. Roman also worked at Brookwood Baptist Health as an Emergency Department RN and Certified Emergency Nurse, where they served as a preceptor and relief charge nurse. Roman has extensive experience in critical care, having worked as a Critical Care Registered Nurse and Charge Nurse at Grandview Medical Center. Roman has also held leadership roles at Grandview Medical Center, including Director of Nursing for multiple units. Prior to their healthcare career, Roman worked in sales roles at Forest Laboratories and Ricoh Business Solutions.

Roman Harris completed a B.A. in Political Science at Auburn University from 2001 to 2005. In 2009, they pursued an Associate's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse at Jefferson State Community College, which they completed in 2011. Prior to their college education, Roman achieved an Advanced Academic Diploma from Clay-Chalkville High School between 1997 and 2001. Roman has obtained various certifications throughout their career, including the Acute/Critical Care Knowledge Professional - Adult (CCRN-K) from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses in 2017, the Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN®) from the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing in 2013, and the Registered Nurse license from the Alabama Board of Nursing in 2012. Additionally, they have received certifications in Advanced Life Support in 2020 and Basic Life Support Provider in 2019 from the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association, respectively.
