Aaron Anker

Owner/ Chief Granola Officer at Grandy Organics

Aaron Anker has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Aaron started their career in 1994 as a Hotel Manager at the Stouffer Renaissance Inner Harbor Hotel in Baltimore, where they eventually became the executive Steward managing a team of over 50 people. In 1995, they transitioned to the role of Restaurant Manager at Explorer BookSellers and Bistro, where they ran a unique restaurant within a converted Victorian home.

In 1998, Aaron entered the food industry, working for Fresh Samantha Juice Company and later for Odwalla as a Sales and Recruiting representative. Aaron also served as a Corporate Recruiter and Sales representative for Fresh Samantha Juices during this time.

In 2000, Aaron ventured into entrepreneurship and founded Grandy Organics, a company that produces and sells organic granola, trail mix, and roasted nuts. Aaron received recognition as the 2020 SBA of the Year recipient for the state of Maine. Simultaneously, they co-owned and managed Anker Property Management, acquiring and overseeing multiple apartment buildings in the Portland area with their wife.

Aaron also served as a Board Member for MEBSR from 2002 to 2005, showcasing their commitment to community involvement. Overall, their work experience demonstrates their versatility and success in various roles and industries.

Aaron Anker attended Niskayuna High School from 1986 to 1990. Aaron then pursued a degree in Hotel Restaurant Management at the University of New Hampshire from 1990 to 1994.
