Dian Olwagen is a seasoned professional in quality and process improvement with extensive experience in the mining and metallurgy sectors. Currently serving as the Manager of Quality & Process Improvement at Grange Resources since February 2020, Dian previously held key roles at SIMEC - Australia, including Operations Manager for the Southern Middleback Ranges Fixed Plant and Concentrator Operations Manager for Arrium's Magnetite Concentrator. Between November 2014 and July 2017, Dian led the Metallurgical & Global Water Team at Arrium Mining, ensuring optimal operation and management of water resources. Additional experience includes roles in operational management and metallurgical leadership at companies such as Xstrata Zinc, OneSteel, and Anglo Platinum. Dian holds a BEng in Chemical Engineering, specializing in minerals processing from North-West University.

Grange Resources

Grange Resources Limited owns and operates Australia's largest integrated iron ore mining and pellet production business located in the northwest region of Tasmania. The Savage River magnetite iron ore mine, 100km southwest of the city of Burnie, is a long life mining asset with current reserves estimated to extend the mine life to beyond 2035. At Port Latta, 70kms northwest of Burnie, is Grange Resources'​ wholly owned pellet plant and port facility producing over two million tonnes of premium quality iron ore pellets annually with plans to increase annual production in the coming years to 2.7 million tonnes. Grange holds long term supply contracts for one million tonnes of its annual production and offers the balance of its production to market via a spot sales tendering/contract process.
