Davor Stjelja

Davor Stjelja has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and building technology. Davor started their career at VTT as a Student Trainee in 2013, and later worked at LTE - Laboratory for Thermal Energy as a Student Trainee in 2014. In 2015, they joined Daikin Europe NV as a Technical Support for a brief period of two months. Davor then moved to Granlund as a Master Thesis Student, where they focused on developing AI and data science solutions for built environment applications. Davor continued working at Granlund as a Consultant in the Innovations department, where they were responsible for creating processes and teamwork for delivering AI-driven solutions. Davor's current role is AI Lead at Granlund, where they are leading the development of AI and data science solutions for built environment applications. In 2019, they also joined Aalto University as a Doctoral Candidate, focusing on big data and buildings, with a particular emphasis on human-centered indoor comfort and utilizing machine learning to enhance building performance.

Davor Stjelja completed their education chronologically as follows. Davor started by attending the Technical School Ruđer Bošković, where they obtained their High School degree in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology from 2005 to 2010. Davor then pursued higher education at the University of Zagreb/Sveučilište u Zagrebu, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2010 to 2014. Davor Stjelja further continued their education at the same university and earned a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2014 to 2016.
