Erno Haapio

Director, HVAC at Granlund

Erno Haapio has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Erno started their career as a Construction Worker at Rakennusliike Seppo Rossi Oy in 2005 and then moved on to VRP Rakennuspalvelut Oy, where they also worked as a Construction Worker in 2006. In 2008, Erno joined Granlund, initially working as a Master's Thesis Worker for a few months. Erno then progressed to become an HVAC Designer from 2009 to 2011, responsible for HVAC designs of various buildings in Finland, mainly public buildings. In 2012, they stepped up to become a Project Manager at Granlund, overseeing the coordination and supervision of designers and interacting with other project parties. From 2017 to 2020, Erno served as a Group Manager at Granlund, where they held leadership and management roles, including project management responsibilities. Currently, as of January 2021, they hold the position of Director, HVAC at Granlund.

Erno Haapio earned their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Engineering from Tampere University of Technology from 2002 to 2009. In 2007, they also attended Universiti Sains Malaysia, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. Recently, in January 2019, Erno obtained several certifications, including being a Designer of ventilation in new buildings and repairs, as well as a Designer of water supply and sewage in both new buildings and repairs. These certifications were obtained from FISE and were graded as exceptionally difficult.
