David Applewood

David Applewood has extensive experience in financial management roles in the healthcare industry. David began their career as a Reimbursement Manager for Inova Health System and then moved on to work as the Chief Financial Officer and Compliance Officer at War Memorial Hospital. David later served as the Chief Financial Officer at Grafton Integrated Health Network, where they improved financial management and relationships between staff and executives. After that, they worked as a Controller for HealthSouth, transforming the organization's financial function. Most recently, they held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Grant Memorial Hospital, overseeing various departments and working to improve the hospital's financial health. In addition to financial management, David also has experience in insurance policies, having worked as a Financial Professional for Allgood Financial, where they wrote insurance policies for clients.

David Applewood earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Accounting from Emory & Henry College, where they attended from 1981 to 1985. David later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Executive MBA at George Mason University, attending from 2003 to 2005.
