Tom Christiansen

Tom Christiansen is a seasoned software developer with extensive experience in Perl development, currently serving as a Senior Perl Developer at Grant Street Group since August 2014, focusing on government applications. Prior to this role, Tom held positions as a Senior/Lead Developer at Verizon from 2012 to June 2014, where responsibilities included designing tools and frameworks for large-scale applications, and as a Senior Professional Research Assistant at the University of Colorado from 2010 to 2012, developing natural language processing tools for biomedical research. Additionally, Tom has a rich history in education, having taught Perl and Unix programming to global audiences as an Instructor at TCPC from 1992 to 2012. Tom holds both an MS and a BA in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, obtained between 1981 and 1987.
