Marcia Barker is a partner at Grant Thornton Australia Limited. Marcia has been with the company since July 2016 and has held the position of partner since February 2017. Prior to that, they were an associate director with the company from July 2015 to June 2016.

Marcia is responsible for ongoing management and development of client relationships associated with a fee book of $1,200,000. Marcia is also responsible for continuous discussions with clients regarding their strategic objectives, current issues, and future growth projections to assist with identifying how Grant Thornton can assist with these issues. Additionally, Marcia is responsible for the preparation of advice relating to various accounting and taxation matters including business structures, asset protection strategies, company liquidations, and changes to tax legislation.

In their role as partner, Marcia is also responsible for providing guidance to the Private Advisory manager group to develop our strategic focus, including preparation of action points and plan. Marcia is also responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships with other professionals including lawyers, bankers, financial planners, and presenting to the Grant Thornton Affinity group on various technical topics as required.

Marcia Barker has a graduate diploma in chartered accounting from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Marcia is also a chartered tax adviser from The Tax Institute. Marcia has a bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus in professional accounting from Queensland University of Technology.

They are on a team with Liam Te-Wierik - Partner & Head of Audit Data Analytics, Jessica Farthing - Partner, and Michelle Watson - Chief Financial Officer. Marcia Barker reports to Greg Keith, CEO.
