As well as being one of Grant Thornton’s most experienced auditors, Simon is a prominent member of the firm’s Not for Profit (NFP) industry group, a passionate group of people dedicated to supporting and helping grow Australian NFPs.
As NFPs strive to adopt higher professional standards and adapt to an ever-changing regulatory landscape, Simon assists some of this country’s most admired NFPs with internal and external audits and advice covering investments, governance and business and technology risk.
With over 25 years’ experience, Simon successfully combines technical expertise with specialist skills and a strong commercial awareness. He represents Australia on Grant Thornton International’s steering committee for the Not-for-profit industry. Meeting quarterly, the steering committee provides global insights into the major trends affecting the sector.
Simon invests significant time in his client relationships, and is known for his ability to guide clients from privately owned organisations to diversified groups and on to public listing. His experience and insight allows him to assist his clients through every stage of their business development.
As well as advising a number of long-standing clients in the charitable sector, Simon also assists clients in the health and aged care, manufacturing, real estate and construction and information technology sectors.
