David Pirner

David Pirner is an accomplished business leader and Managing Partner at Grant Thornton CZ since July 2011, with a focus on advisory services. In addition to this role, David has been a member of the Czech Institute of Directors since 2016. Previously, David owned and managed Facility s.r.o. from February 2002 to June 2011 and served as an advisor to the Minister of Transport for the Czech Republic from May 2009 to July 2010. David held the position of Interim CEO at Škoda Transportation for a brief period in 2006 and also served as the International Sales Director for ČEZ, ŠKODA PRAHA between 2003 and 2004. Early in the career, David was the Director of the Corporate Banking Division and Head of the Dealing Department at Komerční banka from 1997 to 2001. David holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business and an Ing. degree in Management and Electrical Engineering from the Czech Technical University in Prague.
