Michael Kempe

Michael Kempe currently serves as Chief Information Officer at Grant Thornton (US) since October 2024 and holds advisory roles at various startups since June 2024. Previously, Michael was the Chief Information Officer for Global Business Process Groups at KPMG from August 2021 to June 2024, where responsibilities included managing a large team of global technology resources focused on enhancing business outcomes through innovative technology solutions, including Artificial Intelligence. Prior to this, Michael held the position of Chief Information Officer for the Americas at KPMG US from December 2012 to August 2021 and served as Executive Director at the SAP Regional Delivery Center for the Americas. Michael's earlier experience includes a role as Senior Director at Avaya and Director of Financial Systems at AIG. Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Hanze.
