Pedro J. Alméstica Ayuso began their work experience in 2014 as an Automation Engineer COOP at Eli Lilly and Company. In this role, they assisted with a Distributed Control System upgrade project and performed physical installations and network connections.
Pedro J. then moved on to work at Compañía Cervecera de Puerto Rico in 2015, where they completed a Capstone Design Project. Pedro J. designed an automated system for waste water pump control and tank monitoring, developed a PLC program, and designed an HMI for system interaction.
Beginning in 2015, Pedro worked at Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a Product Engineer. In this role, they provided factory support and helped meet production metrics for server manufacturing sites across the Americas. Pedro J. also monitored manufacturing quality metrics, assisted with technical escalations, and evaluated improvement actions using lean tools.
Most recently, Pedro joined Grantek in 2018 as a Systems Engineer. The specific details of their role are not provided.
Pedro J. Alméstica Ayuso obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, where they studied from 2008 to 2015. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering - Industrial Automation at the Universidad Politénica de Puerto Rico, which they completed between 2016 and 2019.
