Kelly Helner

Kelly Helner has a background in education and has held various roles throughout their career. Kelly started their career at Orange County Schools in 2004, where they worked as a Teacher/Principal Intern/CTE District Lead. Kelly'sresponsibilities included teaching computer education courses and business-related subjects, as well as serving in leadership positions such as Department Chair and Advisory Committee Lead. Kelly also collaborated with the Department of Public Instruction and Community Colleges on curriculum alignment and articulation of CTE courses. In 2018, they joined Granville County Public Schools as an Assistant Principal. In this role, they gained administrative experience at both high school and elementary school levels and took on additional responsibilities such as being a Title 1 facilitator, MTSS Coordinator, and Testing Coordinator. Kelly achieved success in their role and was promoted to School Principal in 2023.

Kelly Helner has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from North Carolina Central University and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Kelly also holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from American Sentinel College.
