April Welborn

April Welborn is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist at Granville Health System, where clinical expertise includes treating adult patients with psychiatric disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and psychotic disorders through a combination of medication management and psychotherapy. Prior experience includes serving as a Psychosomatic Medicine Fellow at UNC Health Care, managing the General Adult Psychiatry Inpatient Consult Liaison Service, and conducting inpatient and outpatient Psycho-Oncology Consults. April's foundational training comprised a residency at the Medical College of Georgia, alongside research roles focused on breast cancer and microbiology at esteemed institutions. April holds an M.D. and a Ph.D. in Anatomy and Cellular Biology from the Medical College of Georgia and a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from the University of Tennessee.
