Eric Alvarez

Eric Alvarez is the CEO and Founder of Grapefruit Health, a company focused on addressing healthcare staffing shortages through a tech-enabled workforce of local clinical students. With extensive experience in healthcare administration, Eric currently serves as an ECC Member at The Economic Club of Chicago and holds a position on the Advisory Council for the College of Health and Human Services at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. As an Adjunct Faculty Member at Rush University, Eric contributes to the Department of Health Systems Management, offering insights on entrepreneurship and career advisement. Previous roles include Principal of the Healthcare Practice at Maven Wave, Chief Operating Officer at Fibroblast (acquired by Cerner Corporation), and various health system administrator positions at prestigious institutions such as Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the University of Chicago Medicine.
