Mike Musgnug

Mike Musgnug has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. In their most recent positions, they served as the Chief Executive Officer at GrapheneDx, where they started in September 2022. Concurrently, they also held the position of Executive Vice President of Strategy at Sapphiros from September 2022. Prior to these roles, they served as an Advisory Board Member at Silicon Valley Innovations starting in August 2022.

Previously, they held the positions of Vice President/General Manager of North America Commercial at Cepheid from 2017 to 2019, Vice President/General Manager of Asia Pacific Commercial Operations at Cepheid from 2016 to 2017, and Vice President of Global Marketing at Cepheid from 2014 to 2016. Musgnug played a key role in the sale of Cepheid to Danaher for $4 billion and achieved significant growth in various regions.

Before joining Cepheid, Musgnug worked at Alere, Inc., a publicly-traded company that was acquired by Abbott. Mike served as Vice President of Global Marketing for the Infectious Disease Business Unit, where they exceeded the FY 2013 plan by 10%. Mike also held positions as Vice President of Respiratory & Healthcare-Associated Infections and Vice President of Marketing, contributing to significant revenue growth through organic growth and mergers and acquisitions.

Musgnug's earlier experiences include working as a Product Manager at Dade Behring and as an R&D Manager/Product Manager at Binax. Mike started their career as a Microbiology Research Fellow at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center.

Mike Musgnug obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from Marist College, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Mike then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 2001 to 2003. Finally, they completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing from Marist College, graduating between 2005 and 2009.
