Yanique Dacosta

National President at Graphic Artists Guild

Yanique DaCosta, MFA, LCAM has a diverse work experience in visual communication, fine arts, and design advocacy. As the Creative Director of YKMD Visual Communication since 2011, they have worked with major brands and event marketers to create custom-branded graphic designs, increasing client leads and event ticket sales significantly. Additionally, they have held leadership roles in organizations like the Graphic Artists Guild and the International Council of Design, advocating for designers and the value of design. Yanique has also contributed to community engagement initiatives, led corporate rebrands, and propelled lead generation through their work with various companies and organizations.

Yanique DaCosta holds a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts from Florida Atlantic University, obtained from 2009 to 2011. Yanique further pursued their education at Full Sail University, where they completed their Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in Media Design from 2013 to 2015. In addition to their degrees, Yanique has obtained various certifications, including a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021. Yanique also holds a Licensed CAM certification from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, obtained in September 2020.
