Cynthia O'Keefe has extensive experience in the hospitality industry. Cynthia began their career in 2003 as the Owner and Managing Partner of C59 in New York City, where they developed the concept and design of the venue in Manhattan's Lower East Side and managed approximately 75 freelance employees. In 2006, they moved to Venice, California to become the Reservations Manager at Primitivo Wine Bistro, where they promoted and generated business for the tapas and wine bar. In 2009, they took on the role of Conference Services Manager and Executive Meetings Manager at the Sheraton Delfina Santa Monica. From 2010-2011, they were the Reservations Manager and PR Liaison at The Tasting Kitchen in Venice. From 2011-2015, they were the Director of Events and Public Relations at The Tasting Kitchen. In 2015, they took on the role of Food and Beverage Consultant at the Malibu Beach Inn Hotel and Spa. In 2021, they became the Director of Hospitality Success and Business Development Executive at Grata. In 2013, they founded O'Keefe Hospitality, where they serve as a hospitality consultant, training role-specific and client-facing staff, and creating policies and procedures, training schedules, and manuals for hotel F&B outlets and independent restaurants.
Cynthia O'Keefe completed their high school diploma at San Dieguito High School in 1991. Cynthia then went on to obtain their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from New York University in 1995, with a field of study in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs. In 2008, they attended the University of California, Los Angeles for Creative Writing. Cynthia O'Keefe also attended Ocean Knoll Elementary in Encinitas, CA.
