Josh Howes

Josh Howes is a seasoned data science and machine learning professional with extensive experience across multiple industries. Currently serving as the Director of Data Science & Machine Learning at Cision since July 2021, Josh has successfully built and mentored a team while delivering advanced AI capabilities for the business. Prior to this role, significant achievements were made at Valassis as a Distinguished Data Scientist, where Josh led a major initiative in algorithmic media buying and earned multiple prestigious awards. In earlier positions, Josh held various leadership roles in data science and engineering at Citadel LLC, Xometry, MaxPoint, Accenture Technology Labs, the International Monetary Fund, and other organizations, contributing to innovative data solutions, machine learning implementations, and successful projects recognized by patents and awards. Josh holds a Master's degree in Information Systems from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
