Avanish Karrahe

Avanish Karrahe has a wealth of experience in the cement industry. Avanish worked at UltraTech Cement as a Process Engineer from December 1994 to September 2000. Following that, they joined FLSmidth and held various roles, including Process Design Specialist, Commissioning Manager, Head of Alternative Fuels Department, and Global Product Manager for HRP Systems and Grinding Products from October 2000 to April 2023. Currently, they are the Head of Operations at Gravita India Limited, a position they have held since May 2023.

Avanish Karrahe has a diverse education history spanning several years. In 1988, they attended Kendriya Vidyalaya, CBSE, where they did not pursue a degree or specific field of study. Avanish then enrolled in the National Institute of Technology Raipur from 1989 to 1993, earning a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.

In 2013, Avanish obtained a Certificate Programme on Applied Leadership from Loyola Institute Of Business Administration. Additionally, in 2011, they obtained a Certificate Programme on Leadership from the same institution.

Avanish also participated in various executive education programs. In 2016, they attended an Executive Education program called "Flying the Flag" organized by FLSmidth at Henley Business School. The program focused on new business models and business development within the cement industry. Prior to that, in 2013 and 2014, they completed an International Diploma Program in Managing Service Delivery Systems at Copenhagen Business School.

Furthermore, Avanish has obtained additional certifications related to their field. In 1996, they completed a certification in Cement Kiln Operation & Optimisation, including the use of simulation, at the Regional Training Centre (North), India. In 1998, they obtained a certification in Improving Efficiency Through Energy Audit and Management from the National Council for Cement and Building Materials, India.
