Davi Vargas is the President and Co-founder of Isla Urbana, an organization established in 2009 in the Cultura Maya neighborhood of Ajusco, Mexico, aimed at promoting rainwater harvesting as a sustainable solution to water scarcity. With a commitment to addressing the water crisis and supporting communities in achieving water sustainability, Isla Urbana has played a crucial role in providing resources to those affected by water shortages. Prior to this role, Davi Vargas served at Penn State University from 2006 to 2009 in various capacities including Instructor, Research Assistant, and Graduate Assistant, conducting research for the Engineering Leadership Development Program, teaching engineering students, and assisting in curriculum development for courses related to civil engineering and leadership. Davi Vargas earned a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Penn State University during this period.
