Trey Avant focuses on trusts and estates-related litigation and fiduciary litigation. Additionally, he has experience representing individuals and corporations in a variety of lawsuits involving commercial disputes, real estate-related litigation and personal injury litigation.
While earning his undergraduate degree at Louisiana Tech, he received several awards through the International Public Debate Association including the Louisiana State Championship in 2012.
During law school at the University of Houston Law Center, Trey competed in numerous advocacy competitions—winning the Hippard Open Mock Trial Competition, finishing as a finalist in the Georgetown White Collar Mock Trial Competition, and advancing to the quarterfinals or better in numerous other tournaments. Because of his success in advocacy competitions, he was inducted into the National Order of the Barristers.
Prior to joining Gray Reed, Trey practiced at a prominent law firm in Houston representing individuals and corporations in a broad range of civil litigation.
