J. Colby Cox

J. Colby Cox has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. J. Colby began their career in 1997 at Koch Industries, where they served as a Project Manager/Project Engineer until 2000. J. Colby then joined Husch Blackwell in 2001 as an Associate before moving on to JE Dunn Construction in 2006. At JE Dunn Construction, they held the position of Vice President & Regional General Counsel until 2017. Following this, they worked at EMJ Corporation as the Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary from 2017 to 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Legal Officer at Gray from 2023.

J. Colby Cox completed their education at the University of Kansas School of Law from 2000 to 2003, earning a Doctor of Law (JD) degree with a focus on Law. Prior to their legal studies, they attended Oklahoma State University from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained the Kentucky Bar from the Kentucky Bar Association in June 2023.
