Mark Silcock

Mark Silcock has extensive work experience in various roles within the mining and environmental sectors. Mark currently serves as the Executive Director of Graymont (NZ) LIMITED since December 2020. Prior to that, they held positions at Graymont as the Director of Operations, APAC South, and Operations Manager from 2015 to 2019. Before joining Graymont, Mark worked at Holcim (New Zealand) Ltd, where they worked as the Site Operations Manager for McDonald's Lime from 2006 to 2015 and as the Operations Manager for Taylor's Lime from 2005 to 2006. Mark also gained experience as a Plant Supervisor at Hastings Quarry from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, Mark has worked as an Environmental Chemist at K2 Environmental Limited, an Environmental Scientist at Mott MacDonald Group, an Environmental Analyst at Janssen Pharmaceutical (Johnson & Johnson), and an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Monitoring Officer at New Zealand Aluminium Smelters Limited. Mark'sroles have involved various responsibilities such as managing operations, improving financial and operational performance, developing leadership programs, negotiating contracts, and implementing sustainability initiatives.

Mark Silcock completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Otago University between 1991 and 1994. Mark later pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Executive Business Administration from the same university, completing it from 2006 to 2010.
