Eric McCabe

Eric McCabe is a seasoned insurance professional with extensive experience in environmental underwriting and claims management. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Director of Underwriting at Great American Insurance Group since April 2012, McCabe oversees a national underwriting department, managing teams to service a wide range of domestic clients and ensure appropriate coverage for environmental insurance products. Prior roles include Senior Underwriter at Chartis Insurance, where McCabe evaluated risks for commercial and industrial facilities, and various leadership positions at AIG overseeing claims related to pollution liability. McCabe also has a strong technical background, having worked as an Environmental Analyst for the Town of Smithtown and as an Environmental Chemist prior to entering the insurance industry. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Law from Touro University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Joseph's University.
