John Stark

John Stark has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. John worked at Great American Insurance Group from 2016, where they served as the Director - Finance Systems Portfolio Management. In this role, they created and managed an enterprise corporate finance multi-year transformation practice. John also led the implementation of a state-of-the-art Cloud system, resulting in significant cost savings. Additionally, they designed and implemented administration and controls policies, including contracted support partners.

Before joining Great American Insurance Group, John worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance starting from 2007. During their time there, they held various roles, including Director/Manager - Continuous Development, Publishing/Document Solutions, and Production/Systems Support. In this position, they organized multiple teams and transformed team operations and collaboration within their organization and with other Personal Insurance Claims organizations. John also improved the relationship between Claims IT and their team for system maintenance and enhancements.

John also served as Manager, Testing and Transition/Deployment Readiness at Liberty Mutual Insurance. In this role, they managed multiple teams responsible for business testing and project transition/deployment readiness. This included transitioning projects to production, evaluating stability, and transitioning projects to support teams and business units. John interacted with managers and directors in multiple organizations and oversaw teams consisting of people from associate to senior/principal levels.

Furthermore, John worked as a Business Program Manager at Liberty Mutual Insurance. In this position, they managed large programs with budgets ranging from $8 million to $40+ million. John oversaw various aspects of the programs, including business analysis, technical development, organizational change readiness, communication, testing, deployment, and support. John had regular reporting and communication responsibilities across the corporation and up through the SBU president and all regional company presidents.

John Stark completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Math at Taylor University from 1983 to 1987. John further pursued their education and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Literature from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, starting in 1988 and finishing in 2002.
