Sarah Ireland

Sarah Ireland currently serves as Chief of Communications and Growth at the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, a position held since August 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Acting Head of Partnerships and General Manager of Inclusiv Education at Save the Children Australia from January 2023 to October 2024, and leading Research, Policy, and Government Relations at The Front Project from December 2021 to February 2023. Sarah has also held significant leadership positions as Interim Chief Executive Officer at SisterWorks Inc. and Chief Executive Officer at One Girl, alongside serving in various capacities at Save the Children Australia and International, Merlin, and Action Against Hunger. Academically, Sarah Ireland earned a Master of International and Public Law with a focus on Humanitarian and Human Rights Law from the University of Melbourne, a Master in International Studies from The University of Queensland, and a Bachelor in Journalism from the same institution.
