Gus Platis has extensive work experience in the construction industry. Gus started their career as a Project Manager at Great Gulf in 1998 and worked in that role until 2015. As a Project Manager, they were responsible for overseeing various construction projects. After that, they were promoted to the position of Director, Production Operations at Great Gulf, where they managed the company's low-rise and mid-rise annual production plan. Gus was in charge of construction logistics, project schedules, subcontractors, consultants, municipal authorities, and ensuring customer satisfaction. In 2022, Gus Platis became the Vice President of Production Operations & Logistics at Great Gulf, where they continue to work. Prior to joining Great Gulf, they worked as a Superintendent at Tridel from 1995 to 1997. In this role, they collaborated with trades and engineers to ensure the smooth progress of condominium construction projects in the Greater Toronto Area.
Gus Platis earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto, from 1990 to 1994.
