Carl Couric

System Engineer Manager at Great HealthWorks

Carl Couric has a diverse and extensive work experience in the IT field. Carl started their career as a VMS System Manager at Rinker Materials in 1992, where they managed multiple VAX MiniFrame systems. From 1995 to 1999, they served as a Senior Systems Manager at Geac Interealty Corp. In 1999, they joined FHP Manufacturing as a Director of IS, where they established the IT department and oversaw the migration of VAX systems to Alpha servers.

From 2009 to 2013, Carl worked as the Director of IS at CommCare Pharmacy, managing network, security, telecommunications, and financial systems. In 2013, they became an ongoing consultant and Information Technology Lead/CTO at NetworkX, designing and implementing client networks and critical functions.

In 2016, they joined Solera Specialty Pharmacy as a consultant and Director of IT, working with the original management team to grow the company. In 2019, Carl worked as a Network Engineer at Delphi Behavioral Health Group, where they played a crucial role in implementing SSLVPN for remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic. Carl also worked part-time as an IT Manager consultant at Stimwave, updating their network infrastructure and resolving IT issues.

Most recently, Carl has been employed at Great HealthWorks since 2020. Carl started as a Senior Systems Engineer and was promoted to System Engineer Manager. In this role, they have been responsible for managing Cisco and DELL networks on a large multibuilding campus site.

Throughout their career, Carl has demonstrated expertise in various IT areas, including network design, server implementation, system support, and IT consulting.

Carl Couric attended the University of Miami from 1979 to 1982, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Prior to that, from 1978 to 1979, they were enrolled at Tulane University, focusing on Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Carl obtained a Private Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in November 1984.
