Christine Cowen currently serves as Lead Instructor at Great Hearts Texas, specializing in French I, Earth Science, and Music since June 2023. Prior to this role, Christine was the Director of Campus Operations at Great Hearts Live Oak from June 2021 to July 2023 and worked as a Lead Teacher for 5th grade at Great Hearts Academies from July 2015 to December 2022. Christine began teaching in 2007 with the Casa Grande Elementary School District, focusing on STEM Electives for 6th to 8th grades, and gained early experience as a student teacher at Meyer Elementary through Arizona State University. Additional experience includes working at The Music Store, where Christine was responsible for selling and recommending sheet music and renting musical instruments. Christine holds a Master of Humanities in Classical Education from The University of Dallas, a Master of Education in Educational/Instructional Technology from Northern Arizona University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Arizona State University.
