Keegan L.

Keegan L. is an experienced metallurgist with a strong background in materials science and engineering. Currently serving as a Plant Metallurgist at Great Lakes Castings, LLC since March 2021, Keegan L. specializes in gray iron castings using advanced melting techniques. Previous experience includes working as a Metallurgical Engineer at Spartan Steel Coating LLC, focusing on galvanizing processes, and a Metallurgical Lab and Quality Assurance co-op at Wyman Gordon, where quality assurance for powdered nickel alloy was a key responsibility. Additional roles include an internship at Gerdau, emphasizing quenching and tempering processes, and an apprenticeship at DENSO, which involved a variety of materials testing and development projects. Keegan L. holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Michigan State University, supplemented by early education at Lansing Community College.
