Laurie Koester

Laurie Koester has extensive experience in the legal field, with their most recent role being an Associate General Counsel at the Great Lakes Water Authority since 2016. Before that, they worked as an Associate General Counsel at the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department from 2013 to 2015. Laurie began their legal career as an Assistant Corporation Counsel at the City of Detroit in 1998 and held that position until 2013.

Laurie Koester attended Michigan State University from 1985 to 1989, where they graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication, General. Later, they pursued their Juris Doctor degree in Law at Wayne State University Law School from 1994 to 1997.
