Lisa Martin has a diverse work experience starting in 2009 when they worked as an ESL Teacher at Central Navarre Autonomous Language Learning. From 2009 to 2011, they served as a Case Manager at AmeriCorps, where they interviewed and assisted residents affected by Hurricane Katrina. In 2014, they participated in the teachNOLA program as a Teaching Fellow, receiving alternative teaching certification. Lisa then joined Crescent City Schools in 2011, initially as a K-1-2 Teacher and later as a Special Education Paraprofessional. From 2019 to 2022, they held the positions of Director of Curriculum And Instruction and Director of Pre-K at Crescent City Schools. Currently, Lisa works at Great Minds as the Humanities Implementation Leader and Success Lead since 2023.
Lisa Martin earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Ohio University, completing their studies from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma from Mother of Mercy High School between 2001 and 2005. Recently, they pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree at Purdue Global, which they successfully completed in the year 2024. In terms of certifications, Lisa holds a Certified PreK-3 CLASS Observer certification from Teachstone, obtained in September 2021. Lisa also possesses Level 2 Teaching Certificates in Elementary Grades 1-5 and Mild/Moderate: Elementary from the Louisiana Department of Education, both acquired in November 2018. Additionally, Lisa obtained Credentials of Ministry from the Universal Life Church in 2017.
