Monica Figa

Monica Figa has a diverse work experience in project management and data analysis. Monica is currently working as an Associate Director of Data & Insights at Great Minds since July 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Senior IT Project Manager at the same company from November 2019 to July 2022. Before joining Great Minds, Monica worked as a Project and Program Manager at the American Chemical Society from October 2017 to November 2019. Monica also has experience as a Project Manager at the Society for Neuroscience from September 2013 to October 2017, where they led various projects and programs related to business intelligence. Monica worked as a Project Manager & Marketing Analyst at Cisneros Group of Companies/Venevision from April 2010 to September 2013, focusing on software integration and business intelligence projects. In 2008, they served as a Project Manager at Financialbridge, managing international projects with funding from the Inter-American Development Bank. Monica also has internship experience at the Center for Hemispheric Policy and the Inter-American Development Bank Miami 2008 Host Committee. Prior to that, they worked as a Store Manager at Cartridge World - South Naples from May 2005 to September 2007.

Monica Figa earned a B.A. in Global Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2005. Monica then went on to obtain an M.A. in International Studies from the University of Miami in 2008. In addition to their degrees, Monica has obtained certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in 2017, Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) from SCRUMstudy in 2015, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in 2012.
