Quandra McGrue

Quandra McGrue, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Starting in 2005, they worked as a High School Math and Science Teacher at Calvary Christian Academy and then moved on to Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School in 2006 where they also taught Math and Science. In 2008, they became a TAKS Science Teacher at Premier High School of Austin. From 2010 to 2013, Quandra worked as a High School Math and Science Teacher at Renaissance Academy. Quandra then joined KIPP Texas Public Schools - Austin where they served as a Data Coordinator and later as a High School Physics Teacher from 2013 to 2016. In 2016, they joined IDEA Public Schools as a High School Math Teacher, eventually transitioning into the role of Math Interventionist and then Assistant Principal of Instruction. In 2021, Quandra joined KIPP Texas Public Schools as the High School STEM Manager of Curriculum and Achievement, a role they held until 2023. Currently, they are employed at Great Minds as a Math Implementation Lead and Success Lead, where they are responsible for leading professional learning experiences and helping educators implement Great Minds' curriculum.

Quandra McGrue holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing from Holy Names University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, Quandra has certifications in Data Analytics (Excel, SQL, and Python) from CareerFoundry and TExES 136 Science Grades 8-12 Certification from the Texas Education Agency.
