Mackenzie Love, AICP, serves as a Senior Program Manager and Transportation Planner at the Great Plains Institute since September 2023. Previously, Mackenzie held the position of Regional Transportation Planner at the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority, where responsibilities included leading the Transportation Technology Committee and developing the Transportation Technology Strategic Plan. Mackenzie's experience also encompasses roles as Bicycle and Pedestrian Planner II and Transportation Planner II with Fairfax County Government, where significant contributions were made to bicycle and pedestrian projects and transportation demand management programs. Prior positions include Alternative Transportation Manager and Bicycle and Communications Coordinator at Virginia Tech, along with earlier internships and roles focused on transportation planning and policy. Mackenzie holds a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning with a focus on Alternative Transportation and a Bachelor's degree in Public and Urban Affairs from Virginia Tech.
