Rolf Nordstrom

Rolf Nordstrom has a diverse work experience in the field of sustainable energy and development. Rolf started their career as the Assistant Director of the Minnesota Sustainable Development Initiative at the Minnesota Environmental Quality Board in 1993, where they worked until 2003. In this role, they played a significant part in developing Minnesota's state laws on hydrogen and fuel cells.

After leaving the Minnesota Environmental Quality Board, Nordstrom joined the Upper Midwest Hydrogen Initiative of the Great Plains Institute and served as its Director from 2003 to 2007. This initiative aimed to accelerate the commercialization of hydrogen, fuel cells, and related technologies.

In 2007, Nordstrom became the President and CEO of the Great Plains Institute, where they continue to hold this position till the present.

Starting from 2010, Nordstrom also joined the CleanTech Open as an Advisory Board Member and later became a Finalist and Sustainability Judge. Rolf'sinvolvement in this organization lasted until 2012.

Overall, Nordstrom's work has focused on promoting sustainable energy systems, developing laws and initiatives in the field, and advancing clean technologies.

Rolf Nordstrom completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Literature from Carleton College from 1982 to 1986. Later, from 1990 to 1993, they pursued a Masters degree in Int'l Environmental Policy and sustainable development from Tufts University.
