Melvin McNea has extensive work experience in healthcare administration. From 2014 onwards, they served as the Interim Chief Executive Officer at Great Plains Regional Medical Center, where they led a successful rebranding campaign and oversaw construction and patient satisfaction initiatives. Melvin also held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Great Plains Health from 2008 to 2014, where they managed daily operations, a senior leadership team, and a significant operating budget. During this time, Melvin also served as the Interim CEO for 14 months and achieved a high operating margin through cost management strategies and the implementation of a hospitalist program.
Melvin McNea obtained a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Valley City State University, where they studied from 1973 to 1977. Melvin later pursued a Master of Health Administration degree at the University of Phoenix and completed it from 2005 to 2009.
