Great Plains SPCA
Danielle Husted is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Kansas. Danielle joined the Great Plains SPCA team in 2019 as Accounting Manager. She was later promoted to Controller and now serves as Director of Finance.
Prior to Great Plains SPCA, Danielle was the Accounting Manager at Catholic Charities of Kansas City – St. Joseph and began her career in public accounting as a tax preparer for Grant Thornton. Before entering the non-profit sector, she was the community outreach coordinator for two different corporate organizations. Strengthening community outreach and education has become a great passion of hers.

Great Plains SPCA is one of the largest No-Kill animal shelters in Kansas City, offering comprehensive resources for pets that strengthen the relationship between pets and their human companions. Serving approx. 4,000 pets annually, Great Plains SPCA works to save, protect and improve the lives of animals, by providing humane sheltering, adoptions, behavior, and training as well as the HERO Team’s humane community outreach. Great Plains SPCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
