James Rooney

James Rooney is the current President & CEO at Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce. James has held this position since June 2015.

Prior to their current role, James served as the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority from April 2001 to June 2015.

Before their work at the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority, James was the Chief of Staff to Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino from June 1999 to April 2001.

James Rooney has a BA in Economics from Harvard University and was the President of the Class of 1975 at Boston Latin School.
