Breana Hernandez, CFRE, is an experienced professional in nonprofit management and institutional giving, currently serving as a Relationship Manager for Institutional Giving at the Greater Chicago Food Depository since 2024. Previous roles include Vice President of Grants at the Executive Service Corps (ESC) and Manager of Foundation and Corporate Partnerships at Ingenuity - Chicago. Breana has held various development and communications positions, such as Director of Development at the American Lung Association and Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. Additionally, Breana has experience in grant writing and development operations with organizations such as the National Museum of Mexican Art and Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis. Breana holds a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Administration from Lindenwood University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Ball State University, complemented by education from Kellogg Executive Education.

The Greater Chicago Food Depository, Chicago’s food bank, believes a healthy community starts with food.
