Michael Schoop has extensive experience in various leadership roles within the education and development sectors. Michael currently serves as the Senior Vice President Talent at the Greater Cleveland Partnership, where they lead a team focused on expanding career exposure, increasing in-demand credentials, and expanding work-based learning opportunities. Prior to this, Michael was the Treasurer at Burton, Bell, Carr Development and the Managing Director at Scope Unlimited, Inc. Michael also held multiple positions at Cuyahoga Community College, including Vice President, Evidence, Inquiry, & Retention, and Campus President. Additionally, they served as the Board Chair at Campus District, Inc and as a Board Member at OneCommunity. Earlier in their career, Michael was the Vice President, Academic & Student Affairs at Truman College, City Colleges of Chicago, and briefly held the position of Vice President at City Colleges of Chicago - Olive Harvey.

Michael Schoop's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Chicago, obtained between the years 1984 and 1989. Michael then pursued a Master's degree in English, specializing in Rhetoric & Composition, from the University of Maryland, completing it between 1992 and 1994. Schoop furthered their studies at the University of Maryland by completing a Ph.D. in English, also specializing in Rhetoric & Composition, from 1994 to 1999.
