Liz Schurgin

Liz Schurgin, CAE, currently serves as the Executive Director of the Greater DC Diaper Bank and is a Professor of Arts Entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland. As the Founder and CEO of Succession Works, Liz provides guidance in succession planning and transition consulting for nonprofit organizations and leaders. Previously, Liz was the Executive Director of the DC Youth Orchestra Program, where strategic direction was provided to enhance the nonprofit's impact on children and families in the region. Liz has also worked as an Arts Education Consultant, Interim Director of the GOFF Family Foundation, and participated in a prestigious fellowship at the New England Conservatory of Music. Academic credentials include a Master of Music and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Yale University and degrees in nonprofit management and arts administration from the New England Conservatory.
