Adrian Toland

Adrian Toland is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in innovation policy, strategy, and business development across various organizations. Currently serving as Senior Principal Innovation Policy & Strategy and previously as Industrial Strategy Principal at Greater Manchester Combined Authority since 2020, Adrian has a strong background in translating materials research into commercial applications from a role as Head of Business Development at the Henry Royce Institute (2018-2020). Prior positions include Business Development Manager and Head of Hartree Cognitive Accelerator at the Science and Technology Facilities Council, as well as roles at Manchester Metropolitan University and Chemistry Innovation. Adrian holds a Doctorate in Physical Chemistry from the University of Galway and a Master's in Leadership & Management from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
