Sophie Hope is an experienced professional in education and business engagement, currently serving as Acting Principal (Employer Engagement) in the Education, Work and Skills department at Greater Manchester Combined Authority since April 2016. In this role, Sophie leads the local Enterprise Adviser network to enhance business engagement in education, ensuring high-quality careers education information and guidance is accessible to all young people in the Greater Manchester area. Sophie's prior experience includes managing the flagship education program at Business in the Community, serving as Employee Engagement Manager at The Sported Foundation, and engaging businesses in volunteering opportunities through various roles, including Project Manager for the East London Business Alliance and Grandmentors Development Coordinator at CSV. Sophie has a strong academic background with degrees in History, Peace Studies, and Law from Sheffield Hallam University, the University of Bradford, and The Manchester Metropolitan University, respectively.
