Brice Brewer is currently the Director at Greater Nashville Technology Council. Prior to this, they worked as the Global Chief Data Officer at Asurion from 2006 to 2020. In this role, they were responsible for a $34 million budget for global data strategy, data assets, governance and compliance, and data engineering. Brice also drove the engineering vision and direction while delivering a world-class data strategy that incorporated Graph, AI, ML, Neural Networks, Deep Learning, Analytics, software applications, and Application Program Interface (APIs). Under their leadership, the company saved $39 million in two years by scaling the resources platform, delivered on all client initiatives, and maintained 120-250% of overall annual performance targets while reducing critical company risks and decreased the footprint of toxic data, duplicated data, and PII. Additionally, they reduced the overall data footprint by 17PB by driving data governance and data stewardship programs to optimize the company’s data footprint and meet legal and contractual obligations via automation. Furthermore, they managed a 280 cross-functional team within engineering and big data programs to deliver a real-time interface that enabled business functions to leverage AI, deep learning, neural network, and Machine Learning (ML) for real-time actions. Lastly, they established a cleaner, optimized environment and enabled a clear product roadmap through the migration of multiple data platforms into a universal canonical data platform for usage by all systems, applications, and end-users.
