Jay Cassens has a diverse and extensive work experience in the aviation industry.

Jay currently serves as the Vice President of Aviation Real Estate & Commercial Properties at the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, overseeing both Orlando International (MCO) and Executive (ORL) Airports. Jay'srole involves managing the development and negotiation of use agreements, real estate transactions, and leases.

Prior to their current position, Jay worked as a Sr. Airport Properties & Development Representative at FedEx, where they were responsible for airline-airport affairs, negotiation of use agreements, and real estate development transactions. Jay also served as the primary interface between airports and FedEx Express.

Before joining FedEx, Jay was the Director of Business Development at Daytona Beach International Airport, where they managed all aspects of lease development and negotiations, aviation real estate, and business development. Jay was also responsible for overseeing marketing, concessions, airline relations, and rental car concessions.

Earlier in their career, Jay held various roles at the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, including Commercial Properties Administrator, Airline Operations Supervisor, and Parking Operations Supervisor. Jay'sresponsibilities included managing lease agreements, coordinating with tenants and governmental agencies, and overseeing airport operations.

Jay has also worked at AirTran Airways as a Charter Ops & Airline Contract Specialist, at Orlando Sanford International Airport as an Airfield Operations Supervisor, at Harrisburg International Airport as an Airfield Operations Specialist, and at Gerald R. Ford International Airport as an Airport Intern.

In addition to their work experience, Jay is also an Adjunct Professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where they share their knowledge and expertise with students in the aviation field.

Jay Cassens holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Administration from Eastern Michigan University, which they obtained from 2003 to 2005. In 2005 and 2006, they pursued Training and Development studies at Penn State University without obtaining a specific degree. From 2007 to 2008, Cassens attended Gonzaga University to study Organizational Leadership. In 2009, they completed their Master's degree in Commercial Aviation at Delta State University. Additionally, Cassens studied Aviation Applied Science at Northwestern Michigan College from 1999 to 2003.
